Our up-and-coming client is looking for a personable and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join their pediatric clinic on a part-time basis.

Working 2–3 days per week, this person will be the first point of contact for patients and families. Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, answering phone calls, managing appointment bookings and rescheduling, taking basic vitals, and ensuring exam rooms remain clean and organized.

The ideal candidate will have previous MOA experience, preferably in a pediatric setting, and enjoy working with children and their families. A calm, friendly, and reliable demeanour is essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answering phone calls
  • Greeting patients upon arrival
  • Rooming patients
  • Taking basic vitals (height, weight, blood pressure)
  • Cleaning rooms and maintaining clinic cleanliness
  • Booking and rescheduling appointments
  • Assisting with referrals and billing
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient files
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and families
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Supporting the doctor with other tasks as needed
Education:
  • MOA certification is an asset
Qualifications:
  • Must have clear RCMP check
  • Completion of or willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check with a clear result
  • Proficiency with Accuro is considered an asset
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an MOA position is required
  • Experience in pediatrics is considered a strong asset

Base Salary: 20-25 per hour

Work Hours:

  • 2-3 days per week
  • 8 hour shifts (8:00am – 4:00pm)
Additional Notes:
  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
