A healthcare organization is currently looking for a Medical Office Assistant to manage daily operations at the Dadzi Wellness Centre. Responsibilities include coordinating staff using EMR systems and ensuring culturally safe service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a Medical Office Assistant Certificate and experience in a medical practice. Serving the Dakelh members of the Nak’azdli Whut’en, Binche Whut’en, and Tl’azt’en Nations, our centre is ideally situated on Stuart Lake, close to the communities we support.
Title: Medical Office Assistant
Salary: $59,336–$81,586 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term position ending 3/31/2027, with a possibility of an extension. When the term position ends with the FNHA, it is intended that this position will be offered as a permanent role with the Dadzi Wellness Centre Primary Care Clinic.
Hours: Standard Hours – 37.5 hours per week
Location: Dadzi Wellness Centre, Fort St. James, BC
You will play a crucial role in streamlining the centre’s daily operations by providing outstanding administrative support. You will coordinate staff and resources via the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and contribute to providing culturally safe, trauma‑informed, and culturally appropriate care, ensuring that every client and their family receives the highest standard of service.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full‑time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
