Job summary

A fertility clinic in Peterborough is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to manage daily operations and support patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, exceptional phone etiquette, and at least one year of experience in medical administration. Familiarity with Oscar EMR and Microsoft applications is a plus. This position is available as both full-time and part-time.

Peterborough Fertility Centre is happy to open its doors to serve patients in Peterborough & surrounding region, serving as the first of its kind fertility clinic in the area! We pride ourselves in empowering our patients with personalized care & medical expertise to assist in all stages of their fertility journey.

We are currently looking for a medical office assistant to join our team. The Medical Office Administrator will be involved in all aspects of administering daily operations of our facility. You will be the front-face of our clinic, and you will support both our staff and our patients with their needs to ensure appropriate workflow for all involved.

This position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements & Responsibilities
  • Compassionate and positive approach to patient care
  • EXCEPTIONAL PHONE ETIQUETTE; Handle phone systems to facilitate communication between patients and clinic
  • Comfortable engaging in follow-ups with patients and service providers through fax, email, and phone communication
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain clinic calendar
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Computer savvy, knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Handle payments and invoices with accuracy
  • Assist with regular upkeep and cleanliness of the clinic.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Medical Administration required
  • Oscar EMR knowledge is a great asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
