About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Medical Office Assistant to join our busy and friendly medical practice in North Vancouver. Our clinic specializes in Gynecology, Family Practice and Aesthetic Medicine and we’re looking for someone who can provide exceptional support to both patients and providers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Prepare and maintain patient records using OSCAR EMR
  • Handle phone and email communications with accuracy and professionalism
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals and requisitions
  • Perform general administrative duties including data entry, document preparation, and digital filing
  • Support physicians and staff in daily clinical operations
  • Process urgent imaging and specialist appointments
Requirements
  • Proficiency with OSCAR EMR is essential
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Medical Office Assistant in a family practice and / or gynecology setting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Reliable, dependable and able to think on your feet
  • Friendly, welcoming and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and act with integrity at all times

Successful completion of a criminal record check is required

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a Medical Office Assistant course or diploma is an asset
