Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care.


Duties


  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

  • Schedule appointments and manage the physician's calendar

  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel

  • Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR)

  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers

  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the office staff

  • Perform patient assessments including BP, height and weight assessments

  • Draw up vaccines for physicians to administer


Skills


  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Accuro or PracticeSuites (PS)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Familiarity with phone systems and handling patient inquiries

  • Knowledge of administrative tasks in a medical setting
