ARC provides a full range of fertility services including investigations, surgery, IUI, IVF, ICSI, pre-implantation genetic testing, egg/sperm freezing, and early prenatal support. We pride ourselves in one-on-one patient care and work with our patients to provide an individualized, unique care plan. Our staff and our patients come first!

We are located on the West End of Edmonton, conveniently just off the Anthony Henday.

Responsibilities
  • The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for collaborating with the physicians on their schedules and assisting with booking patients into the physicians’ schedules.
  • They will be responsible for recording pertinent patient data and accurate medical record keeping.
  • They will assist the physician with procedures in the clinic and uploading patient paperwork to the patient portal.
  • They will assist with patient education and answering patient questions.
  • Updating patient records in the EMR.
  • Addressing patient inquiries via phone, email and the patient portal.
  • Uploading patient consents and documents into the EMR.
  • Preparing patient paperwork and requisitions.
  • Assist with patient education.
  • Following up with patients to ensure they understand the physician’s recommendations and assisting them with booking any investigations.
  • Booking patient follow ups and filling short notice cancellations.
  • Checking patient compliances prior to treatment.
  • Assisting physicians to perform procedures in the clinic such as sonohysterograms and endometrial biopsies.
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs before and during procedures.
  • Maintaining the utmost confidentiality with all patients.
  • Abiding by and following ARC’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Licensures
  • Medical Office Assistant Certificate, Medical Office Administrator Certificate, or equivalent course.
Experience, Skills & Abilities
  • 1 year experience in a fertility clinic is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, and a high degree of discretion.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work as a team and individually.
