Job summary

We are looking for a medical assistant to join our dynamic team at South Shore Women’s Health. We are a group of two MOAs and five Obstetrician/Gynecologists who work in a high‑paced medical office environment. We offer gender inclusive gynecologic and obstetric care, welcoming patients of all backgrounds. A record of high achievement and strong interpersonal communication skills are essential! The position is available to be filled as soon as possible.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner
  • Verify and update patient information within Accuro EMR
  • Book, co‑ordinate and reschedule patient appointments
  • Maintain and update information on daily physician schedules
  • Take and relay messages clearly, communicate general clinic information, forwarding appropriate messages to physicians via the EMR.
  • Perform patient callbacks as requested by the physicians
  • Perform clerical duties, such as filing, sorting and distributing of mail/faxes and laboratory results
  • Scan and attach documents into patient charts
  • Ensure consistent inventory, through daily stocking of exam rooms
  • Maintain colleague, patient and physician confidentiality
