Position Overview

Our esteemed client is seeking a seasoned Medical Malpractice Litigation Lawyer to enhance their dynamic team. This position entails advocating for plaintiffs in cases of medical negligence involving healthcare providers and institutions, such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

The ideal candidate will manage intricate litigation cases related to medical errors, misdiagnoses, surgical mishaps, and other instances of professional negligence.

Primary Responsibilities

Evaluate and screen potential medical malpractice claims.

Conduct comprehensive legal and medical research.

Investigate claims and collect vital evidence, including medical records and expert testimonies.

Collaborate with medical experts to establish negligence and causation.

Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Oversee all litigation stages, from discovery through trial.

Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.

Provide empathetic legal counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.

Advocate for maximum compensation for clients who have suffered injuries.

Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario Bar.

Minimum of 1 year experience in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation.

In-depth knowledge of medical and professional negligence law.

Proficiency in analyzing complex medical records and expert reports.

Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.

Strong negotiation and client relationship skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated empathy, patience, and meticulous attention to detail.

A passion for advocating on behalf of injured individuals.
