Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services you will be responsible for ensuring high quality patient focused care through accurate and timely laboratory analysis.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Must be currently licensed in accordance with the College of Medical Laboratory technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) to practice medical laboratory technology including Histology.
  • Understands the principles and has the ability to perform analytical techniques on histology specimens using established protocols.
  • Minimum of 3 years histology experience preferred.
  • Grossing and Immunohistochemical experience an asset
  • Personal attributes - self-starter who has the ability to work well with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced medical setting. Highly developed organization skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Position requires repetitive motion, lifting, pulling, pushing, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills with technologists and other professionals in the workplace.
