Job summary

A healthcare facility in Ontario is seeking a temporary part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist responsible for managing sample reception and training new staff. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience, strong communication skills, and ability to work under pressure. Registration with CMLTO is preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience or completed clinical placement within last 5 years preferred.
• Demonstrated competence using statistical analysis and in computer applications.
• Knowledge of quality management system and OLA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage sample reception, accessioning, and preparation for diagnostic testing.
• Train new Laboratory Technologists and Technicians.
• Prepare reports and correspondence as designated.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated evidence of maintaining clinical competence

Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment

Proven ability to work well independently

Good attendance and availability

Education

Graduation from an accredited training program as a Medical Laboratory Science

Registration with CMLTO preferred
