Position Overview

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist with Calian, you will be working in the laboratory at CFB Borden. In this role you will enjoy the benefits of working with an established team of professionals, whose goal is to support the health and wellbeing of Canadian Armed Forces military service members.

This is a temporary full‑time role: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with the possibility to be extended.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document diagnostic procedures with precision and care.
  • Interact with patients, provide instructions, and ensure proper specimen collection and integrity.
  • Perform venipuncture and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Memberships: Active membership with the CSMLS and CMLTO.
  • Two Years of Full‑Time Experience in the Last Five Years: Performing haematology, urinalysis, chemistry, and phlebotomy.
  • Security Requirement: Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
