Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH) is a 75‑bed acute care site in the Kootenay Boundary health service area and responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services. Located in Trail, between Grand Forks and Nelson, KBH offers services including core physician specialties, 24 houremergency and trauma services, Level2 laboratory, acute and obstetrical care, psychiatry, and chemotherapy.
Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions.
