Your Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process blood samples using the in‑house blood analyzer
  • Operate and maintain the analyzer; reliably interpret and document results
  • Prepare, package, and coordinate transport of samples to external laboratories
  • Adhere to quality control protocols and infection prevention standards
  • Provide a calm, reassuring presence during sample collection and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences and efficient workflows
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable laboratory and clinical instruments in accordance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and facility standards.
  • Operate sterilization and reprocessing equipment, including autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, washer‑disinfectors, and drying cabinets
  • Conduct visual inspection and functional checks of instruments to ensure integrity before and after sterilization
  • Assemble and package instrument trays based on defined set lists and clinical needs.
  • Monitor and document sterilization parameters, logs, biological indicators, and chemical integrators
  • Maintain inventory of sterile supplies, track usage, and notify supervisors of shortages or equipment issues
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of sterile supplies to maintain sterility and prevent contamination
  • Participate in preventive maintenance and routine validation of reprocessing equipment
  • Receive and process semen samples in accordance with clinic protocols
  • Accurately document results and procedures in the clinic EMR
  • Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC processes
  • Complete laboratory equipment checks and preventive maintenance
  • Manage laboratory supplies and consumables, ensuring availability and cost efficiency
  • Contribute to daily clinic upkeep, including restocking and maintaining cleanliness
Required Qualifications:
  • BSc. in Biology or related field
  • MLT Certification is required and registration with the CSMLS in good standing
  • Previous experience in reproductive health, andrology, or related laboratory settings preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to remain calm and focused in high‑volume or time‑sensitive situations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently and seek assistance from other team members as necessary
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Commitment to patient‑centered care and continuous quality improvement
  • Experience, willingness and comfort with providing care to LGBT2SQ individuals and couples
Your Schedule:
  • Monday‑Friday 7am-3pm
  • Weekend rotation
