Qualifications

• A licence in good standing to practice medicine in the province of Alberta.
• Expertise or training in transfusion medicine or a related field is essential.
• A speciality certification in Haematology, Haematopathology, General Pathology, or Transfusion Medicine is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically relevant direction for medical services in the Diagnostic Services Laboratory.
• Oversee all medical aspects of the laboratory's operations.
• Ensure laboratory policies meet the needs of hospitals and patients.
• Provide consultative services to stakeholders in the healthcare system.
• Collaborate with other physicians for on-call services.
