Qualifications
- A licence in good standing to practice medicine in the province of Alberta.
- Expertise or training in transfusion medicine or a related field is essential.
- A speciality certification in Haematology, Haematopathology, General Pathology, or Transfusion Medicine is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinically relevant direction for medical services in the Diagnostic Services Laboratory.
- Oversee all medical aspects of the laboratory's operations.
- Ensure laboratory policies meet the needs of hospitals and patients.
- Provide consultative services to stakeholders in the healthcare system.
- Collaborate with other physicians for on-call services.
