Medical Device Sales Representative (Orthopaedic), you will join our team in Kelowna, BC representing Tribe Medical Group. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of sales in your assigned territory, ensuring surgeons and healthcare professionals achieve optimal patient outcomes by showcasing and maintaining expert knowledge of our market-leading orthopaedic portfolio. You will consult with surgeons regarding the use of Arthrex products and procedures in the operating room, ensuring every procedure is supported with the highest level of expertise and care. Important Facts
  • This role will be overseen by the Regional Sales Leader and work day-to-day with the Territory Manager.
  • This role is based out of Kelowna, BC – Preference will be given to those local to the area.
  • Estimated Start Date: February 2026 or when successful candidate is found.
  • This role requires periodic travel down to Arthrex head office in Naples, FL. Candidates must be eligible to travel to and from the United States as a requirement.
  • Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 CAD with eligibility for commission & bonus, in addition to monthly allowance + paid travel and accommodations. Direct industry experience will be taken into consideration.
  • This is a new position.
Key responsibilities
  • Supporting surgeons and Sales team with in–theatre based clinical support for Sports Med/Orthopaedic surgeries.
  • Developing effective relationships and liaising with Surgeons and Surgical staff; and alerting Arthrex Sales team to any potential opportunities.
  • Supporting the Sales team in your territory by delivering effective clinical case coverage and supporting sales team objectives.
  • Providing clinical education and training on Arthrex product portfolio.
  • Helping the Sales team in your territory through active involvement of case coverage, inventory management and other administrative tasks.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Job requirements

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

  • Strength Guidelines: This role does not require much lifting but occasionally when required, you may be required to lift various office supplies of up to 50lbs.
  • Travel and Mobility: This role requires regular travel to hospitals and surgical centres within the assigned territory. Frequent driving and occasional air travel may be required, specifically to the US. Candidates must be able to move comfortably between multiple locations and carry necessary materials and equipment.
  • Motion Parameters: This role requires majority of the time spent in the field, including standing, walking, and moving in hospital or surgical environments for extended periods. Candidates must expect to be on their feet for long periods of time in operating rooms and medical facilities.
  • Psychological Demands: This role requires the ability to make quick decisions, problem‑solve on the spot, and interpret complex medical information quickly. Candidates must also maintain a high level of emotional intelligence while working in high‑pressure environments such as the operating room. The ability to manage time effectively, especially with travel and on‑site consultations, is essential to balancing multiple priorities.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous sales experience is an asset; however, Tribe provides a comprehensive program that is unique to the medical device industry in Canada, entailing a 6 month curriculum that will prepare you to be an expert on Arthrex’s devices, orthopaedic surgical techniques, and cutting‑edge technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree or post‑secondary education is required. Preferred background in Kinesiology, BioMedical, or a focus on orthopaedic would be considered an asset. Anything related to the human anatomy would also be preferred.
  • Background in competitive sports or sports medicine is preferred and considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel outside of the province for Medical Education labs is required.
  • Must be comfortable in open operating room environments. Previous knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures is preferred and considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel to the US is required as you will periodically travel to and from Arthrex’s headquarters in Naples, FL with customers and for training programs.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Valid provincial Driver's license is required with access to a reliable mode of transportation.
  • Physical ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and is comfortable working in a health care environment.
  • Other duties as required.
