Job summary

Medix EMS is hiring First Aiders, Medics and Paramedics for our 2023 summer season and beyond. Qualified individuals will join a team of passionate responders dedicated to patient care in pre-hospital settings.

Positions include ongoing industrial site work, construction safety roles and short/long deployments up to 14 days across British Columbia. Applicants must hold BC OFA 3, or EMA licensing (EMR/PCP), CPR certification, and a clean driving history (BCDL Class 5).

• Clean criminal record

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and medical support at industrial sites, construction safety jobs and events.
• Be deployed to multiple sites and events across Vancouver Island or lower mainland.
• Ensure readiness with EMA licensing, safety training and continuing education.

We are looking qualified individuals wanting to grow their emergency medical careers by joining a team of passionate and professional responders dedicated to patient care in pre-hospital settings. Each of our service regions are now accepting applications for certified and licensed medical professionals in the following areas:

Medic Position:

• OFA Lv 3 certification,
• or EMR or PCP Licensed and in good standing with EMA Licensing,
• Hold valid CPR,
• Clean criminal record,
• Clean driving history with minimum of BCDL Class 5,

These positions are for a variety of jobs including ongoing work in industrial sites, construction safety jobs and long term deployments, up to 14 days, and casual event medic positions. All applicants must have a minimum of BC registered OFA 3 Certificate or be an EMA Licensed individual holding a EMR or PCP ticket.

If hired, you will enjoy a wide variety of work throughout the island or lower mainland. Be deployed to several industrial projects such as Hydro, Wildfire or a variety of construction for short and long term situations. Medics will also have the opportunity to work a variety of public and private events throughout British Columbia.

Commitment requirements are a minimum of 6 days availability per month. We offer flexible scheduling, industry leading wages, enhanced safety training and Continuing Education courses for EMA licensed individuals.
