THE OPPORTUNITY

Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician, based out of the Waskada, MB office.

This position is responsible for keeping Tundra's CMMS (OpsReady) program current with entering all required documentation, including filling out work requests on faulty equipment, completion remarks in work orders on finished work, and updating equipment specifications, as well as other reporting tasks.

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Coordinator

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Keeping maintenance logs up to date in the CMMS Program (OpsReady)
  • Providing daily schedule to the Maintenance Coordinator and taking direction from the Coordinator and Operations
  • Performing troubleshooting, repairs and general maintenance on Tundra's field equipment
  • Aiding in maintaining the preventative maintenance program including documentation, schedules and follow up work orders
  • Responding promptly to equipment failure
  • Maintaining an inventory of maintenance parts
  • Completing lease inspections and performing pumpjack inspections
  • Assisting operations staff with training
  • Following and enforcing Safe Work Procedures
  • Following and enforcing all safety and security procedures, including responding to emergency response situations
WHAT YOU NEED
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid class 5 driver's licence
  • Oilfield maintenance experience
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge

OTHER DETAILS
  • This position is primarily field-based, and the successful incumbent must be prepared to work in all weather conditions and remote locations
  • Must have the ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Required to participate in the on-call rotation schedule to address critical issues promptly
  • Ability to lift 25 kilograms or more
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
