Dryden Fibre Canada is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Specialist to join the Dryden Team. You will identify and manage reliability risks affecting plant operations and support asset care programs.

The role requires mechanical experience in industrial settings, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with SAP and Maintelligence. SAP/AutoCAD proficiency is a plus, with a competitive salary and 10% target bonus.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical experience in an industrial setting is required.
  • Pulp and paper experience is an asset.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
  • Safety-oriented mindset and adherence to mill safety policies.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, including technical writing and budgeting.
  • Proficient with maintenance software (SAP/Maintelligence) and MS Office; AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain criticality scoring for mill assets.
  • Apply FMEA on critical assets.
  • Develop and maintain asset maintenance strategies and rebuild standards.
  • Determine preventive, predictive, and essential care actions.
  • Monitor outputs from the asset care program and take action.
  • Maintain knowledge of predictive technologies and site optimization.
  • Specify engineering solutions to support equipment function.
  • Apply RCFA and develop root cause solutions.
  • Provide maintenance oversight for new installations and modifications.

MECHANICAL RELIABILITY SPECIALIST Annual Salary Range: $ 85,000 – $125,000; Target Bonus: 10%

Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking an individual to join the Dryden Team. The City of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes. Working within a team environment and reporting to the Assistant Maintenance & Engineering Manager, your role will be to identify and manage reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.

Core responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain criticality scoring for all mill assets.
  • Facilitate the application of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on critical and troubled assets.
  • Develop and maintain asset maintenance strategies and rebuild standards for critical and troubled assets.
  • Determine effective and appropriate predictive, preventive, and essential care actions to be completed to preserve asset function.
  • Monitor the outputs from the asset care program and take necessary action.
  • Maintain knowledge of predictive technologies and champion the improvement of the site’s utilization.
  • Specify and initiate engineering solutions to support optimal equipment function.
  • Apply Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and develop solutions to address and identify roots.
  • Provide maintenance and reliability oversight for new installations and modifications.
Your Profile
  • Ideal candidates will hold one of the following: Engineering degree, Engineering Technologist/Technician diploma, or a Red Seal trade certification, or equivalent experience.
  • You have relevant mechanical experience in an industrial setting and demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Pulp and paper experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • A safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing, budget preparation and presentations.
  • Excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software such as SAP and Maintelligence, MS Office and scheduling software.
  • The ability to utilize AutoCAD is an asset.
