Job summary

True Mechanical, BC’s leading mechanical contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Towers to lead high-rise residential and mixed-use projects across the Lower Mainland. You will oversee execution, budgets, labour planning, procurement, risk management, and client satisfaction.

You will report to the Construction Manager and collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver complex towers on time and within budget, while mentoring coordinators and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in mechanical construction
• Experience managing large-scale residential, mixed-use, commercial, or institutional projects
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, cost control, and contract administration
• Experience with developers, consultants, and general contractors
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
• Experience with Jonas, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction management software platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tower projects from pre-construction through commissioning, occupancy, and warranty turnover.
• Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, billing, collections, and profitability.
• Develop and execute project labour plans in collaboration with field leadership and operations teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, consultants, construction managers, and general contractors.
• Lead project planning, procurement, scheduling, risk management, and execution strategies.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and performance to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Manage project risks and proactively develop mitigation and recovery plans where required.
• Oversee change management processes and ensure all project opportunities are properly captured and executed.
• Collaborate with VDC, Prefabrication, Construction, Operations, Safety, and Finance teams to optimize project outcomes.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and warranty activities to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Mentor Project Coordinators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The Opportunity

True Mechanical is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Towers to lead the successful delivery of complex high-rise residential and mixed-use projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role is responsible for the overall execution, financial performance, labour planning, procurement strategy, risk management, and client satisfaction of assigned projects.
