Sutherland-Schultz is seeking a driven Project Manager to assist with managing our projects. Our ideal candidate will be situated in London Region or the surrounding area. We are looking for a Project Manager that will constantly strive to provide excellent service to our customers, and our project management team.

Functions of the job :
  • Prepare pre-estimate functions, including procure drawings, review plans, specifications, contract documents, attend pre-bid meetings, visit sites, make recommendations regarding the quality of the bid opportunity
  • Prepare project take off packages, review and identify changes, cost, material, equipment and labor
  • Ensure all projects meet compliance standards (CWB, ISO, COR, TSSA)
  • Prepare project schedule, labour plan, manpower loading requirements, and equipment schedule to fulfill project requirements.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to maintain an accurate up to date CTC
  • Price all change orders, work orders, and site instructions and invoice promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate logs of all RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, and customer selections in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of scope definition, contract documents, subcontract administration and vendor relations
  • Prepare job status report as required to senior management
  • Communicate ideas for improving company process with a positive and constructive attitude
Who is the ideal candidate?
  • 3-5 years ICI Project Manager experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Project Management, Estimating, Engineering, or post-secondary trade-specific diploma or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft, including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with Accubid or other electronic estimating software.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • High level of initiative and keen interest in construction and problem solving
