Job summary

Morson Edge (Canada) is seeking an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support a major nuclear facility in Tiverton, Ontario, ensuring reliability and safety. This is a 1-year, on-site contract with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, and a competitive hourly rate of $45–$60 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs; read mechanical drawings and procedures; and

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial environments.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear, heavy industry, or similar.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.

• Perform mechanical maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and recommend repairs.

• Work closely with engineering, operations, and other maintenance teams.

Intermediate Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location: Tiverton, ON

Work Schedule: 5 days/week on-site

Contract: 1 year

Rate: $45–$60/hour, depending on experience

We are currently looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support maintenance activities at a major nuclear power generation facility in Tiverton.

This is a 1-year contract opportunity, working fully on-site, Monday to Friday.

• Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related industrial environment.
• Mechanical maintenance experience within power generation, nuclear, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience working with pumps, valves, rotating equipment, piping, or other industrial mechanical systems is an asset.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedural compliance.
• Nuclear or power generation experience is considered an asset.
