Job description

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team at the Irving Pulp & Paper Mill.

Qualifications
  • Education Required: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technologist, or Journeyman Tradesperson or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or planning experience in maintenance or reliability in heavy industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Must demonstrate ownership, initiative, attention-to-detail
  • Problem solving skills and ability to lead and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Planning experience in heavy industry setting
  • CMMS experience, ideally with JD Edwards/Oracle
Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Maintenance Planner, you will be involved in the planning of daily maintenance work, weekly scheduling activities, and planning and scheduling of shutdowns and events. You will work closely with the area Supervisor, tradespersons, Reliability Engineer, E&I and operations staff to ensure efficient job execution. You will be responsible for work order planning, administration and material management / procurement. You may also be required to support as area supervisor at times, and to supervise contractors on small projects.
