Job summary

Mecka is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and test hardware that enables accurate data capture for robotics and embodied AI systems. You will shepherd mechanical concepts from CAD through prototype testing, balancing wear, heat, and ease of manufacturing.

You will work closely with electrical and sensor engineers to optimize packaging, thermal paths, cabling, and service access, while engaging with suppliers to improve part quality and cost.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Clear ability to design, document, and release mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for accurate recording and manufacturability.
• Build and test prototypes to improve fit and weight distribution.
• Analyze tolerances, loads, and sensor alignment with physical measurements.
• Collaborate with electrical/sensor engineers on packaging and thermal paths.
• Review parts with suppliers and refine designs from field feedback.
