The Opportunity
Shape the World Around You – As a Mechanical EIT in our Resources team, you’ll contribute to projects that power Canada’s industrial and mining sectors. From feasibility studies to detailed engineering and site commissioning, your work will help deliver sustainable, high-impact solutions across the country.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports new construction and brownfield projects, applying your mechanical design expertise from concept through to completion. This role is available in Sudbury, Thunder Bay, and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) .
Your Impact
Deliver mechanical designs and calculations that support safe, efficient industrial systems and HVAC installations
Create AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D models to bring mechanical systems to life
Apply national and provincial codes (NBC, OBC) and standards (ASHRAE, ASME, API, CSA) to ensure compliance and quality
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to solve complex design challenges
Contribute to project planning and execution, gaining exposure to project management fundamentals
The Skills That Set You Apart
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and actively pursuing P.Eng. designation with PEO
2+ years of experience designing mechanical systems, ideally in industrial environments such as power plants, mines, or pulp and paper facilities
Proficient in AutoCAD and Plant3D; experience with Revit and BIM360 is a strong asset
Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and mechanical equipment specifications
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits as needed
