Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer for major UK water and wastewater schemes. Hybrid arrangement allows up to four days from home, with travel to offices or sites as needed.

You will lead feasibility through final design, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring mechanical solutions meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering projects from inception to detailed design.
• UK Water/Wastewater sector experience required.
• AMP-related project experience with UK Water Authority.
• Experience using 3D design tools and software.
• Ability to take technical responsibility for smaller projects/work packages.
• Experience designing mechanical solutions for water infrastructure.

Location: Positions UK Wide, Hybrid to Local Office (up to 4 days from home)

Rate: Dependent on Experience

Are you a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge on major UK Water and Wastewater treatment schemes?

You will be working with a leading Design & Build contractor delivering major clean and wastewater projects across a range of frameworks nationwide. With projects and design teams supporting Water Authority AMP programmes throughout the UK, they are looking to recruit additional mechanical design support across their regional teams.

If you are not based close to one of their offices, a more flexible arrangement can be considered for the right candidate, with travel to an office or site potentially required just once a fortnight.

As a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be supporting Water and Wastewater treatment projects across the full design life cycle, from feasibility and outline design through to detailed and final design. You will be working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing technical designs and submissions and helping ensure mechanical solutions are practical, compliant and ready for successful delivery.

• Delivering feasibility, outline, detailed and final mechanical design work.
• Reviewing mechanical designs, technical specifications, proposals and submissions.
• Taking technical responsibility for smaller projects, work packages and individual design tasks.
• Supporting key design reviews for Water Authority AMP projects.
• Working on Water treatment works, Wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs and associated water infrastructure.
• Providing technical guidance and mechanical design input to multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Supporting projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design and delivery.

• A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering projects through the full design life cycle, from inception through to detailed design.
• Previous UK Water or Wastewater sector experience.
• Experience working on AMP-related projects for a UK Water Authority.
• Experience using 3D design tools and other relevant proprietary engineering software.
• The ability to take technical responsibility for smaller projects and individual work packages.
• Experience designing mechanical solutions for Water treatment works, Wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs or associated water infrastructure.
