Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical BIM Designer to support the development of Mechanical models, drawings, and coordinated design packages across Canada and North America. You will contribute to BIM model creation, maintain discipline models, and ensure coordination with architectural, structural, MEP, and civil teams from early design through construction.

The role requires proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, experience with BIM workflows and 3D coordination tools, and the ability to communicate clearly

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 3+ years related industry experience.
• 3D design software and document management infrastructure proficiency.
• Microsoft Office and communication tools proficiency.
• Experience with 3D Coordination tools.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models and drawings for Mechanical systems.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, MEP, and civil teams.
• Translate design concepts into detailed, constructible BIM models and drawings.
• Ensure model health and compliance with Digital Delivery requirements.
• Support design reviews and 3D coordination processes.
