United Rentals is hiring a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. The role offers opportunities to advance within the Service Department while delivering exceptional customer service.

The position requires 3–5 years of hands-on repair experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, tools owned, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to job sites may be required and a signing bonus up to $3000 is available.

Formación

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
• The successful candidate will be eligible for a signing bonus of up to $3000.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $29.00 - $41.75
