Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a mechanic to join our North American fleet maintenance team in Quebec. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment to keep our rental fleet safe, reliable, and on the jobsite.

Your responsibilities include working on a variety of makes and models, focusing on diesel and heavy equipment, with safety as a top priority. A High school diploma or GED is required, and some trade training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and diagnose issues and repair to minimize downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes/models and equipment including diesel engines and heavy machinery.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation in a fast-paced environment.
