Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited in Ontario is seeking a Merchandising Manager to develop and execute merchandising strategies across stores, driving sales, profit and market share while ensuring planogram compliance and high standards of execution.

You will lead guidance to franchisees and department managers, analyze performance, and coordinate with specialists and directors to deliver consistent results while supporting store openings and improvements.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and team-building skills.
• Minimum 5 years managerial experience.
• Knowledge of Meat operations would be assets.
• Ability to develop and execute short and long term plans in line with corporate strategy.
• Willingness to follow a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (e-mail).

Responsibilities

• Develop action/business plans for stores based on P&L to increase sales, market share and department contributions.
• Provide guidance to Franchisees and department managers. Include assisting with training requirements and coaching to deliver expectations.
• Ensure planogram compliance and execution standards; support audits and safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities and prioritize stores for Specialist support.
• Analyze department performance and address gaps with action plans and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Assist with new store openings and refurbishments and rollout of new standards and programs.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and coordinated promotions to drive category growth.
