Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to support counter service, stocking and sanitation. You will ensure fresh displays, assist with sampling and maintain back stock, while delivering courteous service to customers and team members.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and adherence to safety standards are required. Responsibilities include merchandising, price accuracy, and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in wet and cold environment.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing displays; stock cases and shelves; rotate products.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep areas clean and appealing.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, and equipment as required.
• Attend required trainings and meetings; arrive on time and groomed.
• Provide excellent customer service; answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper stocking, merchandising and rotation.
• Follow procedures for weights, measures, sanitation and safety.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure accurate pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
