Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: Keep the meat department clean, organized, and properly zoned; rotate stock and remove expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: Ensure merchandise is signed and priced; follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: Adhere to food safety and cold chain standards including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper handling, rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: Take customer orders and prepare deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken; use slicers and other tools safely to fill displays and complete orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
