Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp is hiring a Meat Associate in Richmond Hill, ON to deliver exceptional customer service, keep the meat department clean and stocked, and support daily sales. You will handle deli items, follow safety protocols, and assist customers with orders while rotating stock and maintaining accurate pricing.

You will work in a fast-paced team environment, comply with health and safety guidelines, and cover varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to assist shoppers and respond to questions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail meat department with accuracy and speed.
• Willingness to rotate stock, follow pricing and labeling procedures, and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department organization and cleanliness, with proper zoning.
• Ensure all products are correctly signed and priced; manage signings and labeling.
• Follow food safety and cold chain practices, including temperature checks and date compliance.
• Prepare and serve deli items (meat, cheese, fried chicken) using approved equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to keep a safe work area.
• Be flexible with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
