Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining department standards, ensuring accurate pricing, following food safety and cold chain practices, preparing deli items, and assisting customers with orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: Keeps the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced; follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken; uses slicers and other equipment safely.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
