Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a Meat Department team member at an independently owned Sobeys banner location to deliver friendly customer service and prepare meat products for sale. You will help maintain displays and assist with orders in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, at least 12 months of experience in a retail setting, and a willingness to learn; training and growth opportunities are provided within Sobeys.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience in a retail/meat environment
• Full knowledge of department operations and skills

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Prepare meat products for customer purchase
• Merchandise and maintain the meat department area
• Receive meat orders and fulfill special requests
• Adhere to CFIA regulations and company standards
• Provide training to new staff
• Assist Meat Manager as needed
• Participate in professional development
