Job summary

Metro Food Basics in Ontario is seeking a Meat Clerk for a part-time, permanent role in the meat department. You will help customers, stock and refresh meat displays, and ensure products meet our standards for freshness and quality.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a unionized environment. Competitive starting wage is outlined in the collective agreement.

This position is part of a unionized bargaining unit. The hourly wage for this position starts at $16.90 - $17.00 and is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether starting or higher, will fall within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.
