Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: keep the meat department clean, organized, and properly zoned; rotate stock and remove expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: ensure merchandise is signed and priced; follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: adhere to food safety standards, temperature checks, proper handling, rotation, sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: take orders and prepare deli items (meat, cheese, fried chicken); operate slicers and ovens safely to fill displays and complete orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance: follow health and safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.

What you’ll do

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards Keep the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times. Rotates stock regularly and removes expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Uses slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift. Handles a fast‑paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
• Physical Demands Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
