We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient MDR Technician to join our team in Oakville Canada. As a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and sterility of medical devices used in patient care.

  • Clean disinfect and sterilize medical devices and equipment following established protocols
  • Inspect medical instruments for defects or damage and report any issues
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washers
  • Assemble and package sterilized instruments for distribution to various hospital departments
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines and safety procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry standards
  • Assist in quality assurance activities and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Diploma or certificate in Medical Device Reprocessing
  • Certification from the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or equivalent
  • Previous experience in medical device reprocessing or related field preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of medical device reprocessing procedures and sterilization techniques
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols
  • Proficiency in operating sterilization equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of hospital policies and procedures

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
Additional Information

Hours: Monday - Friday 7.5 hour Night shifts; (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $30.38 - $31.00 per hour
