Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Material Planner to coordinate material plans and resources to support production. You will maintain MRP planning factors and collaborate with internal partners to implement actions for production planning.

Responsibilities include on-time release of manufacturing orders, maintaining material plans, creating reports, and analyzing data to optimize parameters and meet ship dates. Strong Excel, Access, and ERP experience are valued.

Qualifications

  • Grade XII combined with post-secondary education or 6-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with MRP II or ERP systems.
  • ASCM CPIM (APICS) education desirable; applicant can be enrolled and working towards certification fulfillment

  • On-time release of manufacturing orders to the shop floor.
  • Continuous maintenance and validation of the material plans; balancing supply, demand and capacity; action MRP system messages.
  • Create and maintain reports to monitor work in progress, shelf-life inventory, serialization requirements, KPIs.
  • Identify and react to bottleneck resources or supply gaps and coordinate between functions to resolve bottlenecks.
  • Conduct meetings to coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve on-time completion of manufacturing orders.
  • Perform data analysis to optimize planning parameters and maintain a doable material plan.

Job Summary

TheMaterial Plannerwill be responsible for coordinating the material plan and the resources required to support production. They will contribute to the ongoing maintenance and integrity of MRP planning factors, and must understand the impact of those factors on the production process. The Material Planner will also coordinate and collaborate with internal customers and management to implement actions to support production planning.

  • On-time release of manufacturing orders to the shop floor.
  • Continuous maintenance and validation of the material plans; balancing the supply, demand and capacity relationship; action MRP system generated exception messages.
  • Create and maintain reports to monitor work in progress, shelf-life inventory, serialization requirements, alignment to KPIs, etc.
  • Identify and react to bottleneck resources or supply gaps and coordinate between functional areas to resolve the bottleneck situation.
  • Conduct meetings to coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve on-time completion of manufacturing orders in support of customer ship dates.
  • Perform data analysis to optimize planning parameters to assist in the maintenance of a doable material plan (cycle times, lead times, batch sizes, inventory levels).
Position Requirements
