Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, and kitting on the Oakville shop floor. You will count, move, pack, and document parts, using ERP/SAP and power tools to meet customer specs and deadlines.

The role requires 1–3 years shipping/receiving experience, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to work onsite in Oakville, Ontario with afternoon shifts. ITAR/CCGP compliance is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Compare shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Unpack crates and enter receiving data in ERP system.
• Prepare shipments, pack to customer specs, and prep parts for vendors.
• Prepare customs documentation and organize truck pickups.
• Operate lift trucks, tugs, and overhead cranes as needed.
• Support 5S, continuous improvement, and daily Tier meetings.
• Update SAP with receiving/shipping information and maintain accuracy.

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Material Handler who will be reporting to the Logistics Supervisor. In this position; the Material Handler performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with cycle counting, material handling on the shop floor, kitting, expediting parts, shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures.

What You Will Do

• Compare identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Unpack crates/cartons and receiving of product (entering information into ERP system or other).
• Prepare shipments for delivery, packaging orders to customer specification; prepare all process parts to ship to vendors.
• Prepare all necessary customs documentation.
• Organize trucks for pickup and delivery.
• Utilize power tools.
• Operate lift truck, hand tucks, and overhead crane to move, convey, or hoist shipments.
• May be required to handle dangerous goods and materials.
• Perform receiving inspection; deliver product throughout the plant, support andon process.
• Become SI&A trained (self inspection and acceptance).
• Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
• Attend daily Tier meetings and other meetings as required.
• Receiving and Shipping of goods from Suppliers and Processors to be updated in sap.
• May be asked to complete other tasks in the department based on skills and qualifications.
• Material receipt and unpacking of all unique parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform tasks at outside Warehouse as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Experience in using MS Office (Excel, Word)
• 1-3 years shipping/handling/ receiving experience.
• The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in using ERP (SAP)
• Experience overhead cranes and/or Material Handling
• Forklift truck license/certification.
• Experience using overhead cranes/slings and a variety of power tools.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

The salary range for this role is $61,344 CAD - $97,190 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
