Job summary

Husky Technologies TM in Bolton, Ontario is seeking a Material Handler to support our Molds Business. You will receive, process, sort and deliver incoming material and prepare products for loading and shipment, contributing to smooth operations in a highly automated facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Certified forklift operator.
• Certified overhead crane operator.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and ability to use internal software.
• Basic understanding of materials management and supply chain principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Pick hardware to order, following daily schedule.
• Re-order hardware as required.
• Responding to inquiries from Assembly Technicians.
• Performing and investigating Cycle Counts.
• Transferring items, both physically and electronically (in Baan) from location to location.
• Focus and prioritize work based on the daily project requirements.
• Check for obvious damage and verify the quantity and general specifications of incoming material.
• Prepare and pack products and equipment for loading and secure shipment.
• Receive, process and deliver incoming materials to appropriate work or storage areas using the Baan system and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide training to new full-time material handlers
• Participate or lead continuous improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned
