Job summary
Ryder System Inc. is seeking a Material Handler I in Sherwood Park to perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving with forklift operation. Start pay is $23.41 per hour plus a $1.00 premium, with a 7-days-on/7-days-off shift from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
Fort Hills work may occur with a higher rate of $31.44 per hour. The role requires the ability to work safely, maintain accuracy in order processing, and support automated packing systems.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- Valid forklift operator's license required.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting.
- Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, and staging for loading/unloading.
- Provide tech/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
- Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Adhere to performance measures per contract guidelines.

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
$ 23.41per hour + $1.00 per hour premium.
6:00am to 6:00pm, 7 days on 7 days off
Permanent, Full Time Role.
Sherwood Park (Working at the Fort Hills camp might be required as per the business needs. If that is the case, the pay will be $31.44 per hour.)

- Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
- Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
- Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
- Candidate must have basic level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, if applicable to site.
- Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.
