Job summary

Prairie Machine is seeking a Material Handler to ensure correct parts are available on the shop floor and delivered to the right locations, maximizing production efficiency. You will support production with general labour and assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

The role emphasizes accurate part transactions, adherence to schedules, and collaboration with warehousing and shipping to meet production needs.

• Haul out chip-bin and waste bins daily as required.
• Write non-conformance reports if cleanliness and deburring on parts are inadequate.
• Provide general labour/assistance to production floor.
• Other duties as required.

Job Profile

The Material Handler ensures that the correct parts are where they need to be on the shop floor to maximize production efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

• Obtain correct parts from inventory and deliver them to appropriate location
• Ensure parts are available when needed on production floor
• Ensure all part transactions are processed properly and with a high degree of accuracy
• Haul out chip-bin and waste bins daily/as required
• Write non-conformance reports if cleanliness and deburring on parts are inadequate
• Provide general labour/assistance to production floor
• Other duties as required

• Understand Prairie Machine’s Scheduling needs and adherence
• Understand the manufacturing process
• Work closely with warehousing and shipping
• Communicate with other departments to ensure schedule and quality needs are met
• Gain working knowledge of the procurement process
• Understand the reporting process in regard to Safety and Quality
