Job summary

J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a Material Handler to perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move shipments.

The role requires safe work habits, accurate product selection, and building safe pallets in a fast-paced warehouse. The successful candidate will follow processes, complete paperwork, and assist with loading and unloading for shipments and deliveries, while learning about new products and inventory procedures in a large, diversified company.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but warehouse experience is a plus.
• Must be able to follow processes and complete paperwork.
• Willing to learn about new products.
• Ability to work with others in variable temperatures and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.
• Sort and move shipments to the correct locations.
• Build safe pallets.
• Assist with order picking, returns, or detecting damaged goods.
• Follow proper processes and complete paperwork for orders and shipments.
• Learn about new products and inventory procedures.

• Build safe pallets
• Loads, unloads, replenishes and restocks various areas
• Assist with loading and unloading on products for shipments and deliveries
• Follows proper processes and completes paperwork for order picking, returns or identifying damaged goods
