A leading staffing agency in Bedford seeks a Material Handler to manage the organization of client records and assist in the logistics supply chain. This physically demanding role requires frequent lifting up to 100 lbs, using manual handling aids, and operating a proprietary tracking system. As a material Handler in Bedford, your primary focus will be on the physical handling and organization of client records. This demanding role is a core function within the Manufacturing & Logistics supply chain, where accuracy and physical stamina are paramount.
You will spend your shift actively moving, lifting, and arranging storage boxes, bins, and totes that range significantly in weight, including items up to 100 lbs (though you must be prepared for frequent lifting up to 50 lbs as part of the job).
Your day will be highly physical, requiring you to kneel, squat, reach, and bend forward frequently while operating manual material handling aids like hand trucks and pallet jacks across concrete and sometimes uneven surfaces. Beyond the physical duties, the role involves utilizing a proprietary computer system and a handheld scanner for tracking orders and determining box locations.
A key requirement for this role is the ability to read and write in English to effectively process orders, read labels, and maintain records within the system.
Monday to Friday: 8AM to 6PM | $18.80/h
