Job summary

Cutting Edge Landscaping is seeking a landscape maintenance lead hand to supervise crews and maintain site standards. You will oversee daily tasks, ensure safety compliance, and communicate with managers and clients to keep sites pristine.

This role is outdoors in all weather, requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid Class 5 driver's licence. You will operate trucks and a range of landscape equipment and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ landscaping maintenance experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Class 5 Driver's Licence – Required
• CSTS-2020 certification
• First Aid Certification
• Integrated Pest Management – Asset
• Basic pruning knowledge
• Small engine mechanics & maintenance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial, residential, and neighbourhood landscape areas to Cutting Edge standards
• Organize, motivate and manage a crew of landscaping maintenance personnel on a daily basis
• Provide direction and feedback to employees, communicate with managers, and clients
• Operate a truck and trailer and a variety of small equipment (mowers, trimmers, edgers, etc.)
• Equipment maintenance checks on trucks, trailers, mowers and small engines
• Daily paperwork including time-sheets, daily logs, safety documents, and spray records
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Identify common plant material, diseases, and insect damage

• Daily paperwork including time-sheets, daily logs, safety documents, and spray records
• Have an attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Perform equipment maintenance and daily checks, ensure all equipment is in proper working order
• Uphold our safety culture and safe work practices
• Complete required paperwork for our safety program and participates in weekly meetings
• Work is labour intensive and will be outdoors in all weather conditions
• Perform various tasks such as: Turf care including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, weeding, and watering Basic pruning of shrubs and trees Remove litter and debris from site Plant and water shrubs, bulbs, and annuals Install mulch, edger, and assist landscape construction division Identify common plant material, diseases, and insect damage
• Landscape Maintenance Lead Hand; 1 year+ Similar Experience
