Overview

The GTA Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Manager to join us in our Toronto office for a 12-month period. This individual will drive marketing programs for our Tax and associated service line portfolios by working with leadership to develop local and regionally driven strategic and tactical integrated marketing programs aimed at business and relationship development, lead generation and brand management. This individual will also work closely with other business enablement teams supporting tax which includes the GTA Account Management, Compliance, HR, Talent Attraction and National Marketing counterparts on the development of broader campaigns, account-based marketing programs, and ensuring consistency of messaging in the marketplace.

What you will do

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Function & Industry Marketing (FIM) in the GTA, with day-to-day direction from the business, the incumbent will work closely with local practice leaders, Partners, the Strategy and Operations team, the Account Management team, and the entire GTA Marketing team in the development and execution of integrated internal and external marketing plans and programs, including market objectives, people and development programs and more, designed to meet the goals and objectives of the local tax practice, ensuring alignment with our national tax strategy.

  • Effectively develop, manage and execute annual marketing plans aligned to national plans and local business objectives, key account plans, and internal and external communications
  • Develop and own relationships with all Tax service line leaders to integrate priorities into planning and support throughout the fiscal year
  • Build the brand of the Tax practice and key service line leaders through integrated marketing campaigns, both internal and external, which maintain a leading point-of-view and shape the marketplace
  • Develop and execute in-market activities including events, sponsorships, blogs, webcasts, podcasts and integrated account-focused campaigns and events
  • Leverage sales platform to review market, revenue and previous campaign data to help identify opportunities and develop marketing programs to address and support
  • Develop, write and manage practice-wide internal and external communications to support corresponding programs and events
  • Report consistently on key KPIs designed for Tax marketing (campaign effectiveness, media awareness, lead generation etc.)
  • Solicit feedback from internal stakeholders on a quarterly basis and track performance against goals
  • Facilitate collaboration and teaming within and outside the marketing group
  • Maintain KPMG's relationship with external industry and community associations and organizations that impact the Tax portfolio
  • Plan, support and drive account-based marketing programs targeting our priority accounts across the Tax spectrum
What you bring to the role
  • University degree, diploma or similar credentials in Business, Marketing, Sales or related discipline
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Strong event management, email marketing and communications expertise demonstrated in a professional environment
  • Strong social and digital media acumen with deep experience in managing these aspects of campaigns and conversant with demand generation, lead nurturing campaigns and leading edge technology
  • Experience in determining and demonstrating marketing and digital ROI
  • Superior project management skills—MUST be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong track record of client service delivery and stakeholder management with senior executives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Must be a highly efficient, detail-oriented, quick learner and self-starter who is eager to develop professionally
  • Must be a team player and an active participant and contributor to marketing meetings
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Innovative mindset that actively disrupts in order to improve what we do
  • Being a pragmatic, intuitive hands-on manager, capable of handling multiple campaign delivery projects at once and able to act on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Regular communication and connection with the Senior Manager, FIM Marketing
