DIALOG is seeking a seasoned Marketing + Business Development Lead for the Private Sector to shape a market strategy and drive opportunities across Mixed-Use Living, Hospitality, and more. You will manage pursuit pipelines, submissions, content, and asset planning with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in marketing and business development in the AEC industry or similar complex B2B services.
• Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, design, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident facilitator who can guide discussions and drive decisions.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign and presentation skills.
• Passion for improving community wellbeing through private sector opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of practice group portfolios and teams.
• Collaborate with practice group chairs to develop and execute a market strategy and budget.
• Identify, research and track mid- and long-term opportunities aligned with strategy.
• Manage opportunity intake through CRM, vet RFSOs, RFQs, and RFPs; support go/no-go decisions; lead or collaborate on submissions with Marketing Proposal Specialists.
• Oversee content and asset planning for practice areas; ensure materials are current and aligned with priorities.
• Identify opportunities for awards, project photography, conference participation, client engagement, and visibility.
• Develop communication plans for the practice groups, including milestones and key wins, awards and PR opportunities.
• Contribute to broader marketing and business development initiatives across DIALOG.

Each Practice Group develops a market strategy to position us to win and deliver work aligned with DIALOG’s Purpose.

We are looking for a seasoned Marketing + Business Development (M+BD) Lead for our Private Sector which includes Mixed-Use Living, Hospitality and other potential markets. As M+BD Lead you will develop a market strategy, manage the pursuit pipeline, prepare or support submissions and manage content and asset planning for the practice area/s.

How you'll make a difference:

• Develop acomprehensiveunderstanding of practice group/s’ portfolio, expertiseand team members.
• Work collaboratively with practice group/sChair/s to develop and execute a market strategy and annual budget, and be accountable for delivering upon these.
• Identify, research and track mid-and long-term opportunities that align with thePractice area/s strategy. In advance of keyopportunitiesdevelopand coordinate winstrategyapproach and plan.
• Manage the opportunity acquisition process through DIALOG’s CRM system, including vetting RFSOs, RFQs, and RFPs; supporting go/no-go decisions; and leading or collaborating on submissions with Marketing Proposal Specialists.
• Manage all content and asset planning for practice area/s, ensuring materials are current, relevant, and aligned with market priorities.
• Identify opportunities for awards, project photography, conference participation, client engagement, and other visibility-building initiatives.
• Develop communication plans for the practice group/s, inclusive of project and people promotion, milestones and key wins, awards, conferences, PR opportunities and storytelling.
• Contribute to broader marketing and business development initiatives across DIALOG, as required.

Who you are:

• You have 8+ years of experience in a similar role in marketing and business development, especially in complex pursuits and proposals in AEC industry or similar complex B2B professional services industries. Knowledge of Private sector market is an asset.
• You have related post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, design, or a related field.
• You are an excellent communicator, with strong writing, editing, and relationship-building skills.
• You are a confident facilitator who can guide discussions, build alignment among senior leaders, and turn ideas into clear actions and decisions.
• You are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership of your work, follow through reliably, and collaborate effectively with a broad range of people, from senior partners and design leaders to external consultants and clients.
  
• You have Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign and presentation skills.
• You have a passion for meaningfully improving the wellbeing of our communities, through mixed-use living / Private sector opportunities.
