PETRONAS Canada, based in Calgary, seeks a recent university graduate for a 12-month Marketing Accounting position. You will support accounting and reporting for natural gas and NGL marketing activities, reporting to the Team Lead, Marketing Accounting.

The role offers hands-on experience with Marketing, Production Accounting, Risk, and business partners in a fast-paced energy environment. Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance/Business and strong Excel are required; SAP S/4HANA or Eka InSightCM are

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Strong Excel skills; exposure to SAP S/4HANA or Eka InSightCM is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, completeness, and meeting monthly deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Motivated self-starter who is curious, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly accruals, invoicing, settlements, and accounting entries for physical gas and NGL marketing transactions.
• Assist with monthly revenue, balance sheet, and account reconciliations; investigate variances.
• Compile and validate transaction data from Marketing, Production Accounting, Risk, and third parties.
• Prepare monthly commodity financial results and variance analysis, including price and volume drivers.
• Respond to information requests and provide documentation for audits.
