Job summary

Confluence in Montreal, hybrid, is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst who will shape data flows, build pipelines, and deliver end-to-end data solutions. You’ll partner with product and engineering to transform complex data needs into technical requirements and ensure high-quality data delivery across the business.

You will own data projects, automate processes with Python, and collaborate with BI teams to meet business needs while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a high‑impact role within a lean team, sitting at the intersection of product, data, and engineering.

Rather than a typical Business Analyst position, this role is hands‑on — you’ll work directly with data, shape how it flows through systems, and help deliver real, usable data solutions across the business.

You’ll partner closely with product and engineering teams to turn complex data needs into clear technical requirements, supporting the build of data feeds, pipelines, and transformations.

At the same time, you’ll manage multiple priorities, improve processes, and introduce automation to make data delivery more efficient.

This is a broad, fast‑paced role with real ownership — giving you the opportunity to drive solutions end‑to‑end and influence how data is structured and delivered.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

Essential Requirements

• Strong SQL expertise (non‑negotiable)
• Ability to work effectively with data pipelines, schemas, feeds, APIs, and data warehouses
• Proven ability to work independently with data and deliver solutions end‑to‑end
• Experience translating business requirements into clear technical specifications
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to operate with high autonomy and manage multiple requests or projects simultaneously
• 1–3 years’ experience in a market data, data analytics, or financial data environment

Nice to Have

• Python for automation or process improvement
• Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
• Familiarity with data ingestion, transformation, and vendor data workflows
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Exposure to AI tools or an interest in automation
