Adecco is currently hiring several full-time detail-oriented Marine Systems Technician to join our client's team and ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of vessels and marine equipment. You'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems aboard ships, boats, and marine infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair marine systems including propulsion, power generation, hydraulics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on engines, pumps, valves, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Install and test new systems, components, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Conduct safety and quality checks in accordance with marine standards and company policies.
- Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and equipment documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to support vessel readiness.
- Follow environmental and workplace safety regulations during all repair and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Marine Engineering Technology, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in marine maintenance, ship repair, or related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of marine systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, testing equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in varying weather and dockside conditions.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada (Canadian citizen or permanent resident)
